Yuletide 2022 F/F recs
Dec. 27th, 2022 10:19 amWorks posted on Sunday for Yuletide 2022, and I read through a subset of F/F-tagged works, and wanted to rec a bunch of things I enjoyed:
Yuletide is such a great exchange. Please tell me what I missed!
- Blue/Red from This Is How You Lose the Time War: You Are Meant to Read This is exactly 1000 words of metatext, and gave me the blues & then purple-pink skies is about Red and Blue trying to have sex for the first time
- From A. K. Larkwood's The Serpent Gates: a mortal hunger is a mid-canon Csorwe/Shuthmili interlude from Zinandour's perspective
- From God of Vengeance (presumably by way of the excellent play Indecent): How Much Better Is Your Love Than Wine is a Manke/Rifkele missing scene
- From A Little Princess: Rajasi is Becky POV with a number of historical cameos
- From The Importance of Being Earnest: The Three Earnests is very silly Cecily/Gwendolen in script format
- From Monstrous Regiment: Many Irons is post-canon slice of life with Lofty/Tonker hanging out in the woods protecting a village
- From A League of Their Own: my kind’s your kind is a terrific Max/Esther post-canon take, and Girls Night at the Clifton Tap is a mostly-canon-compatible bar scene featuring Jess, Jo, Lupe, Max, and Clancy
- From K. J. Charles's England series: Upon A Midnight Clear is Pat/Fen having an awkward time visiting Pat's childhood home
- From Naomi Novik's Scholomance series: they say love is a virtue (don't they?) is fun El/Liesel set in a restaurant in Istanbul
- From We Are Lady Parts: careful fear and dead devotion is Saira trying to help Amina work on her stage fright
Yuletide is such a great exchange. Please tell me what I missed!
