letzanThere probably won't be a post next week (covering the week ending 2023-07-10). I'm sure you've all heard about the DDoS AO3 has been responding to for the past couple of days. The measures they put in place to bring the site back online, also block the query I use to get new data about works categorized F/F (and in order to post next week, I would normally get new data today).
My immediate plan is to do nothing: I'm sure the folks at AO3 are continuing to work very hard on site stability, and it's possible that a few days or a week from now they'll make a change which will unbreak my use case. I've skipped weeks before, so I don't see any reason to race to make changes and potentially get in anyone's way.
If they don't, after things settle down, I'll figure out how much I need to rewrite to get the stats working again. I'll keep people posted!
On the off chance anyone reading this is also impacted, and wants to trade notes about how to get things working again, reach out!
Finally, a million thanks to the hardworking folks at AO3 for everything they do!
